Welcome to the 2014 JustWorkout Devonport Classic - a chance to run or walk with history! Race HQ is in the stunning cliff top setting of Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve at Narrow Neck beach. Event distances go right the way from 15km all the way down to a 2km kids' dash, so there's an option to suit everyone. All courses embark on a scenic, single-lap tour of Devonport.
The Devonport Classic has been held every every year since 2002 and well over 10,000 people have crossed the finish line during that time. Placed six weeks before the Auckland Marathon, it is the ideal tune-up for the big day. For those with more modest ambitions, this is just a great way to discover the beaches, cafes, reserves and historic neighbourhoods of one of Auckland's most beautiful suburbs.
Why the Devonport Classic?

I loved the warm up routine before the start of the 15 km run. I loved the route, certainly not a PB course but fantastic and a great variety included in the 15 km, well done! I will definately run it again next year.
I loved seeing all the different ages, races and size ranges on Sunday. It really says something for the wish to enjoy a little bit of fitness at the same time as having a little bit of fun with either friends and/or family.
I love the way you have so many entry categories. It caters for everyone. I usually enter the 10K walk but next year will do the 5K walk with my granddaughter in her baby buggy.
